Sheep

The correct position for stunning sheep depends on whether the animal is polled (hornless) or horned. For polled sheep, the muzzle of the stunner should be placed on the highest point of the head, and on the mid-line, aiming straight down (Figure 19, 20). For horned sheep, the muzzle of the stunner should be placed on the mid-line, behind the ridge between the horns, and aimed towards the base of the tongue (Figure 21, 22).
