The project seeks to assess the awareness levels among key stakeholders (farmers, traders, drivers, and buyers) in the livestock industry across three of Nigeria's largest markets. The focus will be on identifying barriers hindering the improvement of animal welfare and exploring strategies to overcome these challenges. This initiative marks the beginning of an advocacy campaign against practices that impose animal welfare risks during the local transportation of animals in Nigeria.
